The germ for the feeble crew idea was planted in our heads a great many years ago when we read about a famous British yachtsman with a "dicky" heart who died while sailing his dinghy from Holland to the English east coast. He was found in his dinghy with his hand on the tiller and the boat still sailing. Everyone who knew him commented on "that was how he would have wanted to go."
